Tahu FM Broadcasting Te Matatini live! Thursday – Sunday.
Te Matatini, the name given by Professor Wharehuia Milroy, acknowledges the many faces who bring life to Kapa Haka.
Thousands of Kapa Haka performers, tutors and composers, young and old, bring Kapa Haka to life every day, at home and on the marae, in schools and communities and at regional, national and international events.
Te Matatini refers to and includes individuals and whānau who volunteer behind the scenes; training, cooking, organising and otherwise supporting rōpū to ensure that Kapa Haka is sustained from the whānau through to the hapū and iwi participation arenas, the national and international stages.
